Probing Time Dependent Behavior of a Single Peptide Molecule Using Optical Tweezers

Research Description
The selected candidate will be working on preparing a novel peptide construct specifically designed for a single molecule experiment to study molecular mechanisms of protein aggregation. The optical tweezers with ultra-high resolution will be used for this study. The distribution of dynamic single molecule behaviors as a function of time will be investigated under various environments to enhance understandings of peptide self-assembly mechanism.
