The Maryland MRSEC, led by founding director . Ellen Williams, has been renewed by the National Science Foundation following a ten-year record of success in research, education, and outreach. The MRSEC will purse two research thrusts, in low-dimensional interfaces (IRG 1) and in multifuncitonal magnetic oxides (IRG 2), as well as a selection of seed projects.
