Dr Jiancun Rao has joined the NanoCenter's AIM lab staff. Dr. Rao, who goes by JC, comes to us from the Harbin Institute of Technology in China, where he was an associate professor, with experience in FIB, TEM, and SEM. He lectured at the University of Groningen and Kumamoto University, as well as appointments in Belgium, Germany, Japan and Hong Kong.

His long term goals are to develop new related techniques on FIB and TEM, such as micro-manipulation for in-situ experiments, EBIC, and more.

Students can usually find him in the FIB room of the AIM Lab (Kim Building Room 1237) or his next door office, 1231 Kim. You can reach him or leave a message at 301-405-0561.
