Fischell Department of Bioengineering announced
Dr. Robert E. Fischell has established a new Fischell Department of Bioengineering in the Clark School of Engineering with a $31M gift, which supports also the creation of the Robert E. Fischell Institute for Biomedical Devices. Fischell, who holds more than 200 patents, is the father of modern medical stents, lifetime pacemaker batteries and implantable insulin pumps.
