Sean J. Hearne of Sandia National Laboratories has been elected the 2017 Vice President/President Elect of the Materials Research Society.

 

Hearne has served as NEES’ associate director for Sandia, a position in which he oversees the management of the NEES research activities at Sandia, since 2015.

 

MRS announced Hearne’s election in its Newsletter of September 29. Hearne’s tenure as Vice President/President Elect begins January 1, 2017.
