Four Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Ph.D. students have been selected as ECE Distinguished Dissertation Fellows for 2012-13. 

The fellowships are awarded to outstanding students in the final stages of dissertation work in recognition of their research excellence.  This year, each fellowship recipient will receive $5,000. The winners will be scheduled to present as a part of the ECE Graduate Student Association (ECEGSA) seminar series.

Kapil Anand (advised by Prof. Rajeev Barua), Xiao (Mike) Fan (advised by Prof. Reza Ghodssi), Wei Guan (advised by Prof. K.J. Ray Liu) and Jianwei Xie (advised by Prof. Sennur Ulukus) were the winners.

The selection committee included Professors Joseph JaJa (chair), Neil Goldsman, Michael Rotkowitz, and Shihab Shamma.
