Solar Cell Simulator Back to Equipment List
Operational Status ● Online
Description The Newport Model 91159 Full Spectrum Solar Simulator produces power equivalent to about 1 sun. With optional air mass filters, you can simulate various solar conditions. This 150 W Solar Simulator has a 2 x 2 inch (50.8 x 50.8 mm) collimated output. One Air Mass 1.5 filter is included. The operating manual is loaded on the PC attached to the simulator. Other software allows the user to easily measure the output of the simulator as a function of wavelength and compare it to the solar spectrum. It can also measure solar cell outputs and automatically calculates cell performance factors such as short circuit current, open circuit voltage, fill factor, etc.
